Welcome to Northampton Wood

Hello, my name is John. This website exists because I have always been interested in woodworking, and I want to show others how they can work with wood. Woodworking is for people of all ages and abilities. It’s gratifying and, of course, fun. From the early age of 12, my father taught me the importance of using your hands to make and fix items around the home.  

I learned a lot from my father. Of all the trades I learned with my father, working with wood always appealed to me. Full-time, I work in digital marketing as a Google ads consultant. But this is not my passion. My true passion is to become a full-time woodworker. Whether that’s working as a carpenter, shopfitter or a bespoke wooden furniture maker. As long as I am working with wood and using my hands, I’m happy 🙂
